Departure

Veiled behind the impassive sunglasses
Your eyes may not be able to sting my heart
And fetter my legs from going away

But your body language snaps at me
As I push the luggage trolley to the security check
Struggling my way through the Departure hall

But I’ll repay you like I always do
With my sureshot appearance in few days
At the Arrival hall where I’d love to hug you

You’ve always told me you only like Arrival
But will that be possible without the Departure?
Experience of pain makes pleasure more valuable
Million times I’d depart to see the rare manifestation
Of your exultation that brims through your face
When I reappear…
