Poem: fae king

By: Linda M Crate

i felt you there
when i sang
dancing in the creek
avoiding the beaks
of hungry crows
you danced in the sunlight
streams and beckoned
to me with your
and i felt your wings
dance around me;
but you wouldn’t reveal your face—
perhaps, you were shy
or maybe it wasn’t the right time;
but i know someday
somewhere i will see you again
and maybe behind your
golden wings
there will be a beautiful face to sing
me tales of old and new.
