courtyardtree

A big tree in my courtyard,
The only heritage, I got, a bard
The light green leaves, delicate flowers,
Sweet fruits in a bounty, all ours
There listen twitching eerie chirrup,
The sparrows built its fagot home with joyful jump
Every morning it wake me up,
Its music is like sweet syrup
I stand beneath and feel the persona,
A morning breeze sweeps like a drink “yagona”
My wife waters, lit an earthen lamp with a hymn,
She touches feet and takes his blessing;
Whenever dejected, I found him,
His soothing voice but in a mime
In the afternoon it meditates a hermit,
My wise elder brother I must admit
Come eve, children play in his shadow,
Ripe sweet fruits what they endow
My bed is in his yard,
I sleep like his ward,
There remains no gap
As I dream in his lap.
