Mythological fiction is becoming Amish Tripathy’s trademark. With the runaway success of his Shiva trilogy, Amish continues to cast magic on his readers. Amish has perfected the art to reinventing the divine characters of Indian mythology and serve them in a whole new way to the readers. Amish Tripathy is again out with his latest salvo – ‘Sita – Warrior of Mithila’ which is the second part of the Ram Chandra series. In this book, Amish has put the spotlight on the charater Sita – who is Ram’s wife. The book tries to reinstate Sita’s influence which was kept under wraps in Tulsi Das’ ‘Ram Chirt Manas’ – a book which is treated, adored and read in the modern day India.

Traditionally, in the Ramayana which Valmiki had written, Sita was a strong character and a warrior. Amish has endeavored to add sense to some of the popular myths related to Sita and the Ramayana. He has tried to see things a little scientifically in his narrative and has not blindly adopted the old myths.

The synopsis of the book tells it all:
