Poem: When androids become sentient

Virtual flowers for lovers
in a cybertronic century
This
is like drinking cheap instant coffee
Overtly sweet, flat, quick, with a taste that
dives into the bottom of sour bitterness
A dead fish soaked in diluted perfume
But the fairest drinker in solitude sips
Roasted beans; hand-picked and green
Flavours that dazzle the nostrils and
excite the organic skin –
patience in harvest shines
This
aroma that seeps away from robotic eyes.
