It all started in 1949, on a bright and sunny day.
A man walked in town, feeling fresh, feeling fine, feeling ready to slay.
He grabbed his Luger and went uber; he made some people pray.
Shot thirteen; it’s the first the world’s ever seen.

Don’t murder others ’cause you disagree with they beliefs.
We all the same underneath.

They started looking at the different shades,
then developed a deep dark hatred; they’re shameless.
They weren’t born like this, so did their parents make this?
“Free speech” doesn’t equal racism and bigotry.
That ignorance even flows up to superiority.
These “phobia” don’t qualify as a valid excuse
because they don’t justify the ballad of the accused.

Don’t murder others ’cause you disagree with they beliefs.
We all the same underneath.

It’s been decades since then, but the scene’s gotten worse.
More than ten thousand incidents; god damn it, what’s this curse?
We went from Camden to Columbine, then Pulse to Harvest;
Where’s all this hate all coming from? The hell it even start with?
Now New Zealand’s in the picture: “White Man Against Scripture.”
Why did you even live stream it, mister?
Is this normal now, to rend and threaten?
How does one even make amends?
Damn, what’s the use? Human violence never ends.
