Poppa was a Rolling Stone Tribute band singer

By: Alan Berger

Thru the week dad worked at the grocery store
As a beggar
On the weekends out of life he wanted more
So he became Mick Jagger

The eyeliner and lipstick
Fucked up our sink
The sweat from his wig
Left a cross-fire stink

The clothes were too tight
Just like his hero’s
He was a 48 hour shine a light star
Surrounded by zeros

Ma put up with it
She was a wannabe groupie
Dad didn’t give a shit
Because her tits were so droopy

On Monday mornings
He went back to the humanoids
There he bagged again and began snoring
If it wasn’t for his hemorrhoids
He would be wrenching drinking and whoring
