Conscience plays a vital role in guiding the actions of an individual. It makes people aware of the implications of their possible actions. Individuals commit good acts as a result of their conscience. Honest people use their conscience and demonstrate honesty in their affairs. In contrast, wrongdoers ignore their conscience and involve themselves in illegal or criminal activities for personal gains. In other words, conscience leads to ethical behavior which means that individuals who follow their conscience they act according to the accepted norms and moral values of the society.

By hearing the inner voice and conscience, humans can set their standards high in terms of ethics and values. For instance, if a manager is in a position to embezzle some amount in company funds but prefers not to do so, it means their conscience is alive and they are aware of their moral and ethical responsibilities. A conscience teaches humans respect for others, truthfulness, nonviolence, peace, cooperation and other virtues. The conscience enabled humans to become civilized and make progress in their overall lives through struggle, hard work and sense of realization for others.

Moreover, the conscience believes in the fundamental rights of humans, and that is why laws were enacted to protect them and punish offenders. People repent for their sins due to their conscience because, at some point in their lives, they realize that they have been wrong and then they regret their wrongdoings. Also, the people who hear the voice of their conscience, they constantly evaluate themselves to be more ethical in their lives.

            Moral: To avoid wrongdoings and be ethical, it is imperative for everyone to follow their conscience because it leads to positivity and enables individuals to make the right decision in their lives.
