‘The Bicameral Mind’ and other poems by Md. Saber -E- Montaha

The Bicameral Mind

-Hush, stop that noise
-It’s not me
-Who’s it then?
-It’s me, you, and it’s we
-Tell it to stop then
-It won’t listen to us
-Stop it I say, I’ll kill it otherwise
-It’ll only make the noise louder
-What does it want, I pray?
-To impose a meaning to all the chaos, to thrive
-Does it work that way?
-Who knows, who knows!

Metaphysics of Love

Tell me,
I want to know it all.

Is it the same with you?

Like ever growing human hair,
does your love for me
tend to touch the limitless sky?

Does it refuse to cease itself
just like the life rendering
thumping heart?

Have you ever known
the painful blessing of
clipping a night off in my thoughts?

Ask me
I’ll tell you all of it.

###

Puzzles

Tired of solving puzzles,
long, tiring puzzles;
One leading to yet another,
becoming helplessly languid;
Leaving me with a question,
“is there really an end?!”
