Poem: Can we speak again
Your sulky countenance, once
source of
infinite affection,
now drives me
angry
impatient
indifferent
and repulsive.
That feeling
of innocent tussle
which brought us closer
each day
has walked out
unnoticed
untold.
The sunlit fields
irrigated
by our sweat
replenishing our life
with pleasures
manifold
now stand cracked
Like our lives.
The burden
of unsaid
unshared words
distanced us
virtually
that
I think
hundred times
before running
My hand
on you
even in sleep.
Can we speak again
but through eyes
and through hearts
to reconcile
to resume
as one life
shared by
two humans?
