Poem: Fishing
By: April Mae M. Berza
I was fishing for words
on this sunny day
to cook a poem
and serve it hot
for you,
but it was in the stream of silence
I have gone fishing.
Still, hour after hour,
I tried my bait.
It is made up of memories
we once have shared.
Before the end of the day,
I have ended up with nothing
but a few lines
I have promised you.
After digesting the verse,
you ask for more.
