‘Scattered’ and other poems
By: Roger G. Singer
SCATTERED
here at this
earth place
dust lifts
from the
smooth walkway
carried without
choice
released
unequally onto
distant places
as the parts
scatter and
divide
###
REFLECTION
the moon
in the mirror
it’s strength
pulls the gaze
and tides
to its
bright crooked smile
or its dark side
of mystery
as it listens to wishes,
prayers, confessions,
songs, ancient chants
and wolves
yet caring not for
your tears,
broken heart
or loss
###
MISS IT NOT
the color
of day
walks out
as a weary
dusk yields
to night
stretched
under
uncounted stars
where
a streaming moon
appears as
cool water
touching the
alive
of what most
miss
