Enactus Ramjas: Empowering Communities Through Education and Development
Enactus Ramjas, a society at Delhi University founded in 2011, is known for its dedication to addressing societal and environmental challenges through entrepreneurial action. Their projects focus on gender parity, financial literacy, clean water, and empowering youth, addressing issues like gender discrimination, water pollution, and stubble burning.
Beyond projects, Enactus Ramjas actively supports marginalized communities through community development programs and campaigns.
One such initiative was an education drive in Timarpur, an underprivileged area, lasting from April 1st to June 15th. The mission was to provide quality education and personal development opportunities to the slum community.
Tanya, the Organizational Development Director, stated, “We aim to make education accessible to all.”
The project started by strengthening math skills, specifically multiplication and division. Interactive teaching methods and sessions fostered genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Enactus Ramjas aimed to redefine education, emphasizing practicality. Vinayak, the Organizational Development Director, said, “Education goes beyond textbooks.” They created an engaging learning environment through various activities that encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.
As the project concluded, its impact was evident. The children showed remarkable progress academically and personally, gaining confidence and a passion for learning. Life skills equipped them for the future.
The project also promoted health and hygiene awareness through workshops, contributing to a healthier community.
Enactus Ramjas’s journey demonstrates the transformative power of education and personal development in marginalized communities, creating lasting change without exaggeration.
