Ideologic Dogma

Ideologic dogma
Typed into a teleprompter
Regurgitated by pundits
Woven into conversations
Taken as gospel according
to the oracle of the day
As long as it fits
within the ideology
Fiction parading as fact
Reflected in the eye of the believer
Masquerading as justification
of the cause
Defying the non-believer
to be silenced
In the wake of the ideology
As blasphemous pagans
And illegitimate voices
Defined by the ideologues
as irrelevant
To be scorned and ridiculed
As weapons of destruction
To the dogma
AKA the truth
Outlined by the self-proclaimed
As the righteous believer
Holding fast to the ideology
Disdaining all rebuttal and rebellion
Or defiance of the dogma
In the world of the squeaky wheel
The ideologic dogma
Takes control

The Unspoken Question

Focusing on the flip side
Like the view of a mountain
From a river
Rather than a waterfall
Foraging through memories
Held on the film in a camera
Pre-digital moments
Arranged in linear parades
A paradox set adrift
Answering the unspoken question
Reasoning with the unreasonable
In the tall grass
Skyscrapers of reeds
Growing in the silt of a river
Reaching through the shade
Shadows cast by trees
Shaping the landscape
And yet revealing the truth
A truth known by the universe
And held by the flowers
In displays of color
Cartographic arrays
To be interpreted and followed
A plan laid out
Like roads on a map
Leading to answers
Hidden in a valley
Awaiting discovery
The unspoken question
Resolved
