Pressing trousers

” Sit down,” he said.
“What can I do to help?”
I’ll slouch down
head hung low,
mind clenching words.
Then something extraordinary happens-
emotions paint the room.
He looks up, opens lips
sounds of deafening silence.
I stand up,
fold feelings back into pockets and exit the room:
Tucking in tears.
