painting

If I could see pain
and its thorns
that make us cry

If I could see war
and its pinging bullets
that shatters our haven

If I could see hardship
and its merciless whip
that saps our wellness

If I could see love
and its magic
that has worked wonders

If I could see pain
war, hardship and love
I would just ask “why?”
