Poem: Comparison
By: Balu George
When you read in the papers,
About a successful young entrepreneur,
5 or 10 years younger than you,
Do you feel irritated and sad?
Now let me ask you something.
Do you enjoy eating a Masala dosa?
No, you might not be an internationally acclaimed author,
But are you able to enjoy reading a book?
Be it Grisham, Mills & Boons or Carver.
That is enough.
It took me years of suffering,
To realize that, comparison is the root of all misery.
And that is why I was unable to enjoy eating that Masala dosa.
