‘Big white moon glowing’ and other summer haiku

By: Jim Bates

Big white moon glowing
Shining bright across the sky
Lighting up the night.

Crisp late summer night
They snuggle warm under quilts
Moonlight bright with love.

Old-time country road
Swirling dust clouds rise and settle
In a timeless way.

Gentle dawn sunlight
Flowers glowing like stained glass
In a quiet church.
