Thou Act Another Time
Shall I compare thee to the Time foretold?
When nations will loose sovereignty and freedoms
And the so-called inalienable rights will be encroached
And anarchy be the lord of territorial kingdoms
Where grotesque leadership be the best governance
And comradeship be a delusion in heart
With conditional access to health and welfare services
Perhaps, its a theatrical finale though act juxtaposit
Thou act another time; the world is ignorant of;
And has been monstrous with it contagious spread nature
Chaotic is the globe; the handicapped are the pitied
Human race is falling like withered leaves in figures
Oh departed souls are epitaphed; living beings are comforted
Oh supremo of earth; rain-wash and make us cleansed
The Prowess
Our hospitality
Perhaps the hamartia of our tragedy
Beneath our fields lie treasures and riches
Our songs are summed in intriguing proverbs
And in ancestral adages our pride rest
Our returns were worth the Israelites
’till adventure
Came with locustlike: from faraway lands into our
Fields and barns with phrases hardly to fathom
Hostile though; thou acted a bird of passage
Our charity
Has fallen us apart
Our totem of industry somewhat turned
Vague and valueless
Thou came with overt wants
And now we need them more
But there is a revelation
A generation that would make our story resonant
And in no time shall such innatives rise
Could it be you father, mother; what about you leader
Let travail for a better republic
Together we stand, divided we fall
Under The Shadow
Under your shadow
Abides defence and protection
Hard storms sometimes there were
Perseverance and untiring were your hoisted flag
Your legendary was a betrayal
To some schools of thought at some points
Lest given up wasn’t your ambition
You hid the innocent under warm feathers from
The glamouring clamouring mouths of the hovering saint creatures
Rough times sometimes there were
Seeing your progeny’s partly in pool of unconsciousness
After returning a day’s search of food
Yet never was hope lost
Here they stand in full glimpse
With all it takes to be ‘our own image’
How great is thy love
May generations to come acknowledge thee.
