Poem: The Victims

By: Adesina Idris D.

the victim

The day was bright
Such a day was good in sight!
But a sound came with aplomb
Deafening was it cos it was a bomb!

Helter skelter we ran
Searching for shelter that we can
Find to use as a respite
And protection from this spite!

How long shall this last
That homes so solid as we cast
Give way to ruins
In the face of bombs, twins?

Hope is all we have now
Peace returns to the land we plough!
