Going to sleep is important,
though you think you can
stay up to watch the sunrise.
Dinner should not be eaten
at four in the morning,
nor should it be your first meal.
The night is not the time
to obsess over matters of the day,
or let the small, bright screen
of your phone strain your eyes.
When morning comes and you
take on the day, struggling
to stay awake, you’ll realize that the
silent house was not worth the wait.
So on nights where you can’t
distinguish your tears from the rain
or the yelling from the thunder,
it’s best to close your eyes, and sleep.
