Poem: Drought
By: Debasis Tripathy
It feels so helpless and bad,
I don’t know why!
Something’s in me made me sad,
And answers I seek from the sky.
I am unquiet, full of doubts,
Nothing seems certain, all uncalm,
Lots of water around, still a drought,
Even with good lines on my palm.
On the surface I am arrayed,
From within and others I seek joy,
Still remember what she’d said
Thou never dare thyself destroy!
Heart touching , I hope God Indra will understand this unique message
never had imagined that drought cud be so expressive !! very nice and simple writing
Liked this poem! It reminds us of some harsh realities that we tend to forget.
