Poem: Yellow Canoe

I’ll jump on a yellow canoe
to get to the zoo
to the zoo
who knew
get a new hairdo
then go back to the parents
no that won’t do

I’ll live in shack
they won’t fight back
get money from the quarterback
I know what to do to get money from the quarterback
but my parents will make a come back
then bring me to their house

I hate that house
where we scream and fight
but when the time is just right
I’ll get on that flight
doing alright
make and sell dynamite
to get through lonely nights

Just when I can
I’ll find a man
who’s got a nice tan
we’ll buy a van
never look back again
