Phoenix
By: Chandra Shekhar Dubey
When you come to me
With gleams in eyes and loads
of broken promises in heart
across a corridor where silence
reigns supreme and moans deep.
I break into pieces , gathering the petals
of memories buried deep in dark recess
like a child joining the pieces
of dismantled toys in the tears
of his joys, knowing not his fears
of loosing his feats in trail.
Your touch awakens in me
the lost memories of kisses,
the bloom of promises, words felt
but unsaid in moments lived
but unsaved like scribbles
on my word note.
I rise like Phoenix from ashes
of memories to give you a new day
on an uncharted calendar.
I rise and awake, awake and rise
to fill the gap between your coming
and going across the memory lanes.
