Speed Of The Falcon

The falcon perched
on the speed limit sign.
It was Sunday,
and there was no traffic
in the neighborhood
at that time of day,
so I stopped the car.
But as soon as I had
the camera on my phone
ready to take a picture,
the bird flew away.
Wildlife doesn’t like to pose.

Delivery Trouble

Had trouble with a delivery?
You’re not alone.
Received an email one night –
“Your package was delivered.”
A photo was attached.
Since it was nighttime,
the picture was black.
I checked outside.
Nothing was there,
someone else got my package.
