‘the true riverdale’ and other poems

the true riverdale

Archie and Jughead were lovers
Betty and Veronica?
He could never decide
“because you really want to
and resist the nature
of needing to get them
into a three-way.”
Mr. Weatherbee salivated
Pimping both
Archie and Jughead
in drag
just like
Betty and Verona
already pimped out
on the other side of town
“Moose ain’t got no money for beer and Reggie is queer!”

Eye have

Eyes are the windows to the soul
Or so they say
My eyes will eat your eyes
Swallowing the hollow look
Behind the smile
Of your empty soul

No champions for the better

Remembering on another insomnia anxiety ridden morning before the sun rises…
crimson letters
a green invasion
forest green
moss covered letters
moss mob
mob mayhem
moss throbbing
each letter
a pulsating land star
Queen Elizabeth
Queen Eliza-beth
Queen Eh-Liz
Queen Lizard?
Michael Lewis- yeah I can buy him as a serious writer
not unlike Jack
Jack Kerouac
Jack-off Kerouac?- yeah you can say that
near death
change is constant
life is suffering
there is not self
high school football player scholar
drop-out desolation angel headed hipster
rightwing red-scare drunkard narc
like a river flowing the course
change, changed, changing
just not for the better
lizard people
social engineering
prophetic bile
