Security
By: James Aitchison
Man, accept the pattern of life.
Embrace the weathering
that precedes happiness.
Your hammering anger is
but a distraction.
Know that the paths of men are
intertwined, their feet have
tramped the long centuries.
Each journey brings new tests,
as you progress to each
new level of reasoning.
You will break chains in
dark streets, you will sing
in the tortured night.
The casing of your soul
will be secure.
Much to think about in your poem, James. Thank you for sharing it.
Blessings,
Karen
