‘Slab All’ and other poems
By: Amanda Niamh Dawson
Slab All
Free fall
Dream crawl
To shore
Once more
Fly free
Sun sees
All real
Keen feel
Longboard
Lost lords
Spin swords
Wood gods
All toward
Wet yards
Lay sod
To find
The grind
Earth’s flash
Get dashed
By waves
Surf’s grave
Be saved
Here We Go
Oceans flow
Deepest glow
Love in dreams
Supreme beings
Moonlight flaunts
Shadows haunt
Language lurks
Swarms of sharks
Beasts retreat
From lowly beats
Ever lower
Getting slower
And repeat
