Gone
By: Anthony Rosa
The clock strikes five and the sun goes down,
the seasons have changed, but my love still abounds.
I heard your voice in the wind today,
I felt your kiss as the petals blew away.
Since you left, my heart’s turned gray,
James warned me mist will never stay.
If only I could turn the arrow of time,
I look for the shooter, and the arrow was thine.
I looked into the past, which feels so long,
I looked into the future, and saw that you’re gone.
Where is our life that I used to see there?
With two laughing children and you in my care.
All I have left are memories in mind,
even in my dreams, you’re no longer mine.
