Is our planet on its course to a perilous journey?
Planet Earth, being born five billion years ago
Orbiting around the sun ever since
Now seem to be on its course to a perilous journey!

There seems to be a competition between
Cataclysmic climate crisis for use of fossil fuel
causing global warming, ice cap melting and sea level rise,
Forest fires, cyclones, tornado, disastrous flooding and tsunami
And devastating wars and incessant bombing
Burning down the greeneries
Destroying infrastructures causing debris enshroud the sky?
Destroying cultivation, vegetation and lives?

Once earth had moon as it’s only satellite;
Now, there are thousands of man-made satellites
Circling the earth at their low circling orbits
What if one satellite misses its orbit and goes out of its course?
Might that initiate a cataclysmic collision?

Like the lifeless red planet Mars
Which, some billion years ago
May have had lush green landscapes
Streaming waterfalls, whistling evening breeze
And thriving lives
Would our earth, have similar plight someday?
Would earth turn out to be a piece of lifeless rock!!!
