Poem: A Painful Rose
By: Tiffany Lee
If a flower could feel,
Then it would know only love.
But the rose does not know the pain it gives to others,
Its thorns wear the blood of others.
With a touch of the rose,
The whole world starts to spin,
Everything’s a blur,
All disorganized.
White roses stand for innocence,
Red roses stand for love,
But if a rose of innocence,
Wears its victim’s blood,
Is that too a rose of love?
