Poem: No More Candy
By: Lawrence Hur
My sister’s bag
was filled to the brim.
I had to reach under her desk
to reach for the candy.
Her anger toward me
was like a teacher scolding a bad student.
The combination of chocolate and caramel
tasted so sweet.
I’m sorry I stole your candy.
Next Halloween, I will try my best
not to take any of it.
But don’t be mad if I steal some.
