Anxiety After…

By: Franny Harold

nxiety After Eating Fiber Cereal

She read up on Coronavirus news for the first time in weeks
And somehow,
Convinced herself she has Type 2 Diabetes.

Anxiety After Too Much Sun

She wondered, “Am I tired because I’m sick?”
Or,
“Did I forget how to do improv?”

Anxiety After Meeting My New Therapist

She thought, “Her eyebrows are very kind via Zoom.”
And
“Would she be friends with me if I wasn’t paying?”

Anxiety After My Period Woke Me Up

She thought, “Hair and life are both fleeting.”
So
Why not lean into them both a little more?

Anxiety After A Phone Call

She realized calling her grandmother with dementia
While
Getting a car wash was, then and now, a bad choice
