Aquamarine Gulf Coast Water

By: Leigh-Anne Burley

Rainbow lady’s
cyan eyes rimmed
by quartz sand washed
down from the mountains
by the Apalachicola River
white foam hair curling down
your rolling, emerald gown.

Wash me with your jubilation
immerse me in your exuberance.

Ruby sun’s toes dip into
the greeny bathtub
yellow moon hitches a ride
on the sun’s orange tailcoats
hoists himself into
midnight blue heaven.

Engulf me.
Heal me.

I want to know God more.
