Four Winter Haiku – 6

By: Jim Bates

Cold weather walking
Winter birds flitting along
Singing merrily.

Sleet switching to snow
Icy land turns softly white
Pleasantly peaceful.

Hard sub-zero cold
Settling in like frozen steel
Bone deep and chilling.

Bright full moon setting
Shining through snow covered pines
Lighting thoughts of joy.
