‘Lost Count In Tulsa’ and other poems
By: Anthony David Vernon
Lost Count In Tulsa
What’s the amount?
There are plenty of ways
To count and count…
& 3$ Lays
I was running some numbers at the 7-11
Thought I texted everybody on their birthdays
But was off by twenty days
***
Losing You In Stillwater
Your words can stab as deep as knives
And cut like a razor phone
Like “please don’t turn around and leave me.
You are my only one!”
