lifetimes of stress,
six decades of hell,
numblingly welcome
to simply sit,
and do nothing.
So the man sits
in blessed relief;
sitting, simply sitting:
no objective,
no goal,
no action –
to him, amazing –
to do nothing.
But it’s not nothing
it is peace,
calm,
and healing.
