The Peacefulness of Fall

By: Bruce Levine

Falling leaves in various shades and hues
A metamorphosis of colors
Bountiful and bold to subtle and refined
The plumage of a peacock
Transformed by Mother Nature
Into a tapestry of autumn

The revitalizing energy of cooling air
Awakening the spirit of the harvest
The fall festivals of gastronomic delights
To quench the thirst and satisfy hunger
With a bountiful repast

Carnivals for children
Rides and amusements
While lovers walk hand in hand
Along leaf strewn paths

A time to reflect on another horizon
As each dawn and sunset
Reveals the multitudinous future
Of fall’s evolution of seasons
And the peacefulness of fall
