Poem: the girl with the magic smile
By: Linda M. Crate
cutting myself up
in oceans of
emotion
too long i‘ve mourned
your passing in my life
no longer will i
remain at this
funeral;
too long i‘ve dwelled in
dark emotions tomes
time to life my head
smile a smile
more beautiful than i‘ve
ever had before,
and make
you see i‘m the girl with
the magic smile—
even sunshine
won’t be sparkling as bright
as my pearly whites
putting even the
most ivory cloud to
shame;
the remorse you should
have felt but
refused to,
and you will wither like
dead herb.
I like ‘oceans of emotion’ a lot
