Poem: My only light

By: Milt Montague

the blinds are tightly shut
to keep out the bright sun

i burrow down into
my chair for comfort
a computer light
the only illumination

my mindscreen comes alive
buzzing with ephemeral ideas

one seems the most promising
I follow it as it evolves
through several days editing

at last it reaches it’s final state
and is released to the world
with all my love a piece of my heart
