Poem: Rum and Gin

By: Arushi Singh

Tell me the price
Of college girl stereotypes
And the blazing
Hippy hopeful blonde eyes
Spiirits of intoxicating
Spirits with cigarettes
Tipped on cracked glass
Rum and gin
With a dash of
Hope and flying
In mother’s crying lies

Arushi Singh was born in Delhi, India to Ritu Singh and Manvender Soam. She has been lurking for 20 years. She suffers from borderline personality disorder and depression and the core of much of her poetry is a fragmented set of tales about her battle with these.
