Poem: Playground of the fae

i walk past
a magical grove
where faeries play
they don’t seem to mind me
although they hide
in the trees or ivy on the ground
when i walk past
i can feel their presence
as i gaze upon tiny pinecones
thinking they are adorable little trinkets
i could see a fae wear in her hair
or upon her necklaces,
and i wonder what they sing
to make the flowers grow so beautifully
because every spring and summer
i gaze upon their flowers
in the winter the snow seems to glitter
especially beautifully here
reminding me there is beauty everywhere
in every season
even if this one is a little too bitterly cold
for my liking in the
northern west of pennsylvania.
