Crisis

By Karen Lee Stradford

The world
in a terrible state,
peace, love and happiness is-
lost.

Like a bumpy, gravel road,
life is difficult to maneuver,
negative vibes are ahead.

At war with ourselves,
weapons are everywhere
as hate speech surrounds.

The pain is killing us,
people don’t seem to panic.

Civility, please
show your friendly face
before it’s too late.
