Four Winter Haiku – 3

By: Jim Bates

Snowy lakeside trees
Hazy soft dreamy shoreline
Frosted Fairyland.

After the snowfall
Landscape resting peacefully
Overwhelming calm.

Northwest wind blowing
Cold gray winter day chills deep
Fireplace burns warmly.

Deep north woods cabin
December snowfall thigh deep
Snowshoes beckoning.
