Walking up the winding path towards the Ashapuri temple in the Kangra district, I felt a sense of peace and tranquillity settling over me. The surrounding trees and lush greenery provided a serene atmosphere, and the distant sound of ringing bells added to the spiritual ambience.
As I stepped into the temple premises, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming smiles of the devotees. The temple’s centuries-old architecture left me awestruck, and the scent of incense filled the air, transporting me to a world of divine energy.
As I made my way to the main sanctum, I felt a sense of awe and reverence as I witnessed the sacred rituals and offerings being made to the Goddess. The sound of the chanting and the tinkling of the bells filled my heart with a sense of peace and contentment.

Legend has it that the temple was built by a local king who was blessed by the goddess with wealth and prosperity. As a mark of his gratitude, the king built the temple and dedicated it to the goddess.
The temple is located about 67 kilometers from the city of Dharamshala and can be easily accessed by road. Visitors can either hire a taxi or take a bus from Dharamshala to reach the temple.
