Guitar Lover

By Karen Lee Stradford

You’re all plugged in,
amplified.
Long neck,
flat, pear-shaped
wonder.

I await
the piercing sound
of your strings.

I am happy.
You move me
to a thunderous
applause
whenever you play
The Blues.
