Search for meaning

Last year I found a man
Brown eyes with curly black hair.
I wonder what I saw in him
Oh I fell in love that October.

Your gaze was filled with love,
words can’t express it.
A sea of emotions
too great to ever confess it.

I said I’d never seen a temple’s light
The next night you took me to that sight
Like a child in wonder, your warmth all around
You cared for me gently, in awe I was bound.

And look, it’s October once again
I’m still learning to bear the pain.
Your love, it felt like a fairy tale
But now you’re gone, beyond the veil.

Yet still, your memory stays so near
A trace of love, both warm and clear.
In the dimming light, I stand alone
This October, hearts turn to stone.
