light around the edge of the blinds
5:30 I hope 6:30 I guess
either way I need the bathroom
hoping there’s time to get back in bed
for at least another hour
before 7:30 alarm

clock on the night table
not wanting to know time
so comfortable so easy
to go back to sleep
why was I not this comfortable
last night instead of now
when I have to get up

how long can I lie here
don’t want to get up
maybe it’s still early
maybe not even 5 o’clock

really need bathroom
then back to bed
glance at clock
7:20 bad news
good news it’s Friday
