‘The Chair That Waits’ and other poems

The Message I Never Sent
I open your name
and let it stay unspoken.
The cursor waits like it knows me,
patient with everything I avoid.
Every sentence I try to build
collapses before becoming real.
So I leave it unfinished,
a silence shaped like language,
never sent, never gone.
The Chair That Waits
The chair stays slightly turned,
as if someone might still return.
I stop myself from moving it
more than I should admit,
like breaking its position
would break something else too.
Light gathers in its corners,
soft as forgotten conversations.
And the room keeps its silence
in the shape of absence.
Morning Without You
Morning enters without asking,
touching things I didn’t prepare for.
Your cup is no longer warm,
but the table remembers its weight.
I move through the space slowly,
as if sound might bring you back.
Even the light feels uncertain,
like it lost the way we used to exist.
And I learn again
how mornings can feel unfinished.
