‘Memory and Future’ and one more poem

By: Sushant Thapa

Memory and Future

The day is as bright
As the overloaded happiness.
In your city
I lose track of time,
Due to excessive delight
Easily passing.
The night was as bright
As the starlit path.
In images
I recollect
The wholesome memories.
Forgetfulness becomes a crime
When a nodding smile is a lie.
The morning dew
My tiptoeing foot
Soft velvety touch of grass,
Makes me alive again.
Let the metaphors unearth
The simplicity.
We lose time,
Yet, gain each other’s company.
At last, we only lose
One piece of future
That is never crafted,
Memories are sweet.
Future may not bring delightful
Moments
It is unseen.
The present is your eyes
Looking into mine.

Imagination Everywhere

A poem is
Imagination walking.
Imagination dealing
With broken memory.
In flashes
Mind takes its turn.
Reality becomes heavy,
News of devastations.
Imagination is a wing,
A bird to sing sweet,
In the early hour of the dawn.
I grew up in symbols,
Trying to untie the knot
Of social expectations.
Only much later,
I chose my level of education.
A free winged chariot
I am a blowing cotton.
That is how I live
Swept away by musicality
Of living.
Poetry bleeds
Like a flowing river
Everything else seems distant
And lost in its own doctrine.
